Leanne Pearce established Leajay Alpacas in 1993.
She had purchased 15 acres of land in Macclesfield yet still travelled to Adelaide for work.
One problem for Leanne was how to keep her grass short.
Then when she was looking in the paper one day, Leanne spotted a woman holding a baby alpaca.
With a farming background and sheer hard work, Leanne created her own alpaca farm.
She repastured her entire property and redesigned the paddocks.
Leanne has now been bredding alpacas for more than 13 years. |
